For this example, we'll change into an Argonian.īut you should write it in the console as: Let's take the setplayerrace command, which lets us change your character's race.
#ONE SHOT SWORD COMMAND HOW TO#
If you've never seen console commands before, it might all look a bit complicated, but it really isn't! To help ease you in, here's a little example of how to actually type things into the console. This will bring up the console command menu. If you’re currently stuck scouring your keyboard, these keys are always sat next to the number 1 and above the TAB key. I also love smite axe.To enter console commands in Skyrim, you need to press the ‘grave’ key on a UK keyboard, or ‘tilde’ on a US keyboard.

Maybe what we really need is some monsters with more armor! On hard difficulty monsters frequently have armor, though the penetration is more important in PvP. And keep in mind I am not suggesting an increase to their DPS! Axes should have lower DPS than swords because their higher hit damage penetrates armor. But I think it'd also make sense to increase the gains from sharpness on axes to 1 per level, or at least 0.75 per level. So I think the diamond axe could go to 10 damage. But now sharpness 5 only adds 3 damage so the jump-crit is just 16.5. Any higher and it one-shots most enemies. A sharpness 5 axe would jump-crit for 19.75 damage. I think the 9 damage across all axes is a relic from back when sharpness added 1.25 damage per level. Most players I think are just way more used to swords, which also have a shallower learning curve. I also just like its precision, and my strategy centers around hit-and-run tactics with as many jump-crits as possible. Now I agree that axes are slightly underpowered in PvE, but your suggested changes would add too much.Īs it stands, I prefer axes over swords against monsters because it's one less inventory slot filled, and for farming animals because it only hits one target. I disagree, and I exclusively use axes in PvE.

I have, however, suggested in the post 11 damage, which I still think is too low.) But, I found it balanced compared to netherite swords. Yes, many people do think 13.5 damage is insane for a netherite axe, and it kind of is seeing you can one-shot kill a zombie with a critical hit. (I just saw a comment by Blast Burner that I didn't answer. If axes had more DPS than swords, they would still have less reach, so it is still balanced in the end. The whole point of axes is that they have less reach, less speed, and more damage. I have no idea where you get the idea of raising axe speed, because I have not seen a single person suggest that anywhere. As a matter of fact, from playtesting, I found that a diamond axe dealing 12 damage was just as good as a diamond sword in PvE. Reach is a massive factor in both PvP and PvE. It has more DPS than the sword, yes, but significantly less reach. However, if you are concerned that buffing the diamond axe to deal 10 damage is too much, trust me, it's not. Ziad El-Moursey, why must swords always be the best choice for combat? Personally, I think there should be many weapons, all of them equal but different. It's actually better in most scenarios because it's higher speed allows it more knockback and makes it easier to use! Need one more reason as to why axes are underpowered? Ever tried using a netherite pickaxe in pve? It works better than a netherite axe! Sure, it has one less DPS, but that is very little less. This will result in axes actually having a use, having slightly more DPS than swords. Here is my solution: Buff axes to deal 4 more damage than swords. But other than that, it is completely underpowered. Admittedly, in pvp it does disable shields. Seriously, why use an axe? It has less DPS and less reach! Give me one reason why I should use it in pve. An iron axe is completely useless in this situation. An iron hoe works well enough, it has good reach, though it is a little low on DPS.You have iron armor/tools/weapons, you're in the nether, you punch a zombified piglin.

Here's a simple situation that I get in way too often (I sadly do get in this situation just about every time I'm in the nether). So, I've spent hours testing combat test 8c, and I found one very major problem that people haven't been addressing much.
